About the Artist
I’m a native of North Carolina, currently residing in Greensboro, where my lifelong love for creativity continues to inspire my work. I’ve been captivated by the visual arts from a young age, and they’ve remained a consistent thread throughout my life.
A graduate of NC State College of Design, I’ve always been instinctively drawn to functional art. I find inspiration in the interplay between form and function. My work spans the realms of abstract art and functional ceramics, where I explore the beauty of everyday objects while pushing the boundaries of traditional artistic expression. Each piece I create is a reflection of my journey—an invitation to engage with the tactile and visual elements of art.
In my abstract works, I experiment with color, texture, and shape, allowing spontaneity and intuition to guide my process. My goal is to evoke emotion and provoke thought, creating a dialogue between the artwork and the viewer. In my ceramics, I strive to merge aesthetic appeal with practicality, crafting unique pieces that enhance daily life while serving as a canvas for my artistic vision.
Most of my ceramics are crafted on the wheel, with the occasional hand-built creation for variety. For my abstract works, I’m most drawn to working with acrylic inks on watercolor paper, though I occasionally explore the texture and scale of canvas.
Through my art, I aim to foster a deeper connection to the world around us, celebrating the beauty in both the functional and the abstract. Join me on this creative journey as we explore the intersection of art and utility together. Thank you for visiting, and I hope my creations resonate with you.
